Margaret's parents moved to Danville, Illinois in 1912 from Indiana where they lived for a year. Prior to living in Indiana they lived in Hardin Counrt KY where both of her parents were born and spent most of their lives. I assume they moved to IN and ILL for employment purposes.

Mattie Belle Neal (Doak) her husband's (James Marshall Neal) mother died Friday, Dec. 3, 1954, The Oldham Era obituary read: "OCTOGENARIAN PASSES AT CENTERFIELD HOME Mrs. Mattie Belle NEAL, widow of J. N. NEAL, died of the infirmities of age early Thursday morning at her residence in Centerfield. She was 82 year old. She was an active member of the Mt. Tabor Methodist Church. She is survived by four sons, Roy and Ernest NEAL of Louisville, Marshall NEAL of Crestwood and Thomas NEAL of Culumbus, Ohio; one daughter, Mrs. O. PATTERSON of Louisville; nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Her husband died five years age. Funeral services were conducted Thursday afternoon at 2:00 at the M.A. Stoess and Sons Funeral Home by Rev. C. R. THOMAS and interment was in the Mt. Tabor Cementery. Acting as bearers were William Zur SCHNEIDE, Steve VonALLMEN, E. B. BROWN, Woodson LONG, Gilbert BLANTON, and James BLANTON."

 

In 1970 Libby Neal listed her address as RR1 Box 56 and RR1 Box 166, Crestwood, Kentucky. Libby's employment with the Oldham County School System began August 28, 1970, when she was hired as a Cook and Lunchroom Worker. During her career, Libby worked at Crestwood Elementary, Oldham County Middle School and Centerfield. Libby retired from the Oldham County School District in June 1984. At the time of her retirement, Libby listed her address as 3308 W. Highway 22, Crestwood, KY 40014.

On Apr 6, 1957 her eldest son, Marshall Lee Neal married Linda Morris in Louisville, Jefferson County, Kentucky. One year later, in 1958 Linda gave birth to Michelle Pye Neal, Libby's first grandchild.

In 1964 Marshall and Linda get a divorce. That same year Marshall Lee marries Judy Sharon Jewell in Clark County, Indiana. On July 31, 1965 Judy gives birth to Lisa Kay Neal.

On February 1968 James Lee Neal is born and on March 21, 1970 Marshall Allen Neal is born.

In the 1972 obituary of her mother's, she was Mrs. Elizabeth NEAL, Crestwood, Ky.

On August 16, 1973 Carol Black gave birth to Rocky and Carol's first daughter, Staci Renee Black. On April 18, 1979 their second daughter, Carrie Lea Black was born.

Her Wednesday, March 4, 1987 Courier-Journal article obituary read: "Margaret Elizabeth "Libby" NEAL, 73, of Crestwood, died Monday at Parkway Medical Center. She was the former Margaret BUSH, a native of Danville, Ill. She was a retired cafeteria worker at Centerfield Elementary School and a member of mount Tabor United Methodist Church, both in Oldham County. Survivors: a daughter, Carol BLACK of Crestwood; two sons, Marshall L. NEAL of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and J. W. NEAL of Cambellsburg; a sister, Lucille STINSON; a brother, Ralph BUSH; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Funeral: 10 a.m. Thursday, Radcliffe Funeral Home in La Grange, with burial in Mount Tabor Cemetery. Visitation after 9 a.m. Wednesday."
