The Refrigerator, gas cooking stove, lounging porch chair, go to my son Earnest Elliot NEAL. Mattie NEAL (signed) Crestwood, Ky; Witnesses: E. W. LONG Crestwood, Ky and Hollin HICKERSON Crestwoo Ky." It was produced in court Jan. 25, 1955.

In Oldham County Records, Volume 1, Cemeteries by McKECHNIE & DENT it had listed for the Mount Tabor Methodist Church Cemetery: "NEAL, James Newton5-1-18672-6-1949 Mattie Bell, same stone as JN3-23-1872 11-3-1954."
In the Kentucky Death Index she was Mattie B. NEAL; age 82; POD Oldham Co.; Residence Oldham Co.; DOD 11-30-54; Vol. 051; Cert. # 25268 and year 54.
Her Wednesday, Dec. 1, 1954, Courier-Journal article obituary read: "Mrs. Mattie Belle DOAK NEAL, 82, died at 3:45 a.m. yesterday at her home in Crestwood. She was a member of Mount Tabor Methodist Church. Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. O. J.
PATTERSON; four sons, Thomas NEAL, Columbus, Ohio; Roy, Ernest, and Marshall NEAL; nine grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. tomorrow at Stoess Funeral Home, Crestwood. Burial will be in Mount Tabor Cemetery."
Her Friday, Dec. 3, 1954, The Oldham Era obituary read: "OCTOGENARIAN PASSES AT CENTERFIELD HOME Mrs. Mattie Belle NEAL, widow of J. N. NEAL, died of the infirmities of age early Thursday morning at her residence in Centerfield. She was 82 year old. She was an active member of the Mt. Tabor Methodist Church. She is survived by four sons, Roy and Ernest NEAL of Louisville, Marshall NEAL of Crestwood and Thomas NEAL of Culumbus, Ohio; one daughter, Mrs. O. PATTERSON of Louisville; nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Her husband died five years age. Funeral services were conducted Thursday afternoon at 2:00 at the M.A. Stoess and Sons Funeral Home by Rev. C. R. THOMAS and interment was in the Mt. Tabor Cementery. Acting as bearers were William Zur SCHNEIDE, Steve VonALLMEN, E. B. BROWN, Woodson LONG, Gilbert BLANTON, and James BLANTON."

Paul bearers: James Blanton, Gilbert Blanton, EB Brown, Woodson Long."
