    • In the History of Kentucky, Volume 6 by PERRIN it had: "Marshall NEAL is a native of Oldham County, and was born November 9, 1830. Fielding NEAL, his father, was also a native of Oldham County, and married Miss Maria MARSHALL, of Woodford County. John NEAL, the grandfather of Marshall NEAL, was a farmer, and a veteran of the Revolution, who came from Virginia in 1796 and located in Woodford County, Ky., moved to Jefferson and finally settled in Oldham County...."

      In the 1840 Oldham County Censys, it had "Name: F. Neal; males age 5-10 years of age: 1, males age 10-15 years of age: 2; males age 40-50 years old; Females under 5 years of age: 2; Females between 5-10 years of age: 1; Females 15-20 years of age: 1; Female 30-40 years old: 1"
