• Notes

  The following information was obtained from the book "Rounsley without a "d"", written by harriett Rounsley, "Thomas ROUNSLEY, son of Mary and Richard ROUNSLEY. The first record we have of this man is at Marytavy, where it was recorded in the Church records that "Thomas ROUNSLEY (miner, son of Richard and Mary ROUNSLEY, labourer) married Elizabeth Reddicliffe MARSHALL." The date is not given but it is listed in the record later that the marriage of Richard ROUNSLEY and Eliza NANKIVELL on 20 Jul 1850. Marytavy records list this couple as the parents of three children baptized there: Francis, Sidney, and William George."
