  • Notes
    • In his 1954 year book, it had, "In the year 1942, a group of boys and girls entered the LaGrange and Crestwood schools. After eight long years through grade school the time came for us to receive our grade school} diplomas. Both schools had an eighth grade graduation; neither were quite like the graduation we expect to have this year. When we entered the freshman class, like most freshmen we were green. Mr. Bell was the sponsor for Crestwood and Mrs. Hayes and Mr. Ochsner for LaGrange. We all survived the freshman year and by the time we entered the sophomore class we were settled down quite a bit. Our class sponsors for that year. were Mrs. Cassaday and Miss Miller for LaGrange and Mr. Bell for Crestwood. The junior year proved to be a big year for both classes. Each class had a large representation on the cheerleading squad and the basketball team. Both Junior plays were a success. LaGrange presented PAPA SAYSNO and Crestwood presented BOARDING HOUSE REACH. In the spring everyone was rushing around preparing for the Junior-Senior Prom given by LaGrange and the Junior-Senior Banquet by the Crestwood class. In the fall of 1953 the two high schools were consolidated and we entered a new school at Buckner. Again, we felt like green freshmen as we had to get used to new people, a new building, and a different school program altogether. But we were not complaining as we were glad to have a new school that was so badly needed in our county. Now everyone is busy preparing for our play, PRIDEAND PREJUDICE. which is to be produced in March. We are also looking forward to our senior trip which we are going to take in April. Now our twelve years of school are practically finished. Before our class of 72 members graduate we would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the teachers and friends who have aided us through our twelve years of school.
